Overall Purpose Of The Job:
The OB/GYN Physician provides comprehensive primary and urgent care as part of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology department.
The Obstetrician Gynecologist specializes in womens reproductive healthcare issues and prenatal care. They provide female care from puberty to preconception through childbirth delivery postpartum and menopause. They are responsible for performing screening examination diagnostic tests diagnoses treatment and providing reproductive advice and recommendations. The ability to identify and treat hormonal disorders fertility issues including cancers of the reproductive system. OB/GYN manages and treats urogynaecology problems and sexually transmitted diseases.
Qualifications :
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial examination to assess baseline state of health diagnose and prescribe appropriate treatments.
- Perform wellness exams and diagnostic tests such as pap smears pelvic exams and breast exams
- Document family and medical history.
- Explain complex medical conditions in simple terms.
- Diagnose and prescribe treatments for disorders and conditions affecting womens health.
- Order diagnostic tests to identify or rule out disease or infection.
- Order tests to accurately diagnose cancers of the breast and pelvis.
- Collaborate with medical and nonmedical staff to promote positive outcome.
- Provide prenatal labor delivery and postnatal medical care.
- Educate and provide vaccination when benefit outweighs the risks.
- Explain the childbirth process to the expectant parents and family.
- Educate patients on sexual health hygiene and reproductive choices.
- Counsel patient on management and treatment of menstrual problems.
- Evaluate menopausal signs and symptoms including ordering of tests for diagnosis and treatment.
- Perform followup care where required.
- Provide childbirth services and postpartum care for new mothers
- Liaise with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care.
- Perform care after sexual trauma such as tests counselling and report to authorities if requested by the victim or reportable by law.
- Ensure that all medical records are accurately maintained
- Provision of clinical reporting to the CMO.
- Supervise Advise and Support clinical staff development with current approved procedures and protocols.
- Ensure best practice in line with clinical guidelines and SOPs
- Support the clinical excellence framework under direction from the CMO
- Provide liaison with external agencies where required to promote chain of care continuity and professional referral/patient handover
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- A minimum of two (2) years experience postboard certification.
- Demonstrated experience in executive level interpersonal skills and ability to work in a matrix environment
Experience Preferred:
- Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required:
- Current and unrestricted license from any US State District of Columbia or US Territory to provide healthcare within scope of practice.
- Graduated from an approved medical school and completed a residency or fellowship as a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Osteopathy (D.O.) from a school in the United States or Canada approved by a recognized accrediting body in the year of the applicants graduation.
- Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Neonatoal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- DEA license
Other Special Qualifications:
- Common Access Card (CAC) or ability to obtain one
- Must be able to read write and speak English to effectively communicate
- This position is accompanied. No pets.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- US DOS clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Must be able to relocate to Qatar.
- A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Qatar.

Compensation $260000 $320000 Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
