The Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic (EMTP) Lead will represent International SOS at DOS and provide care to DOD and contractor personnel stationed in Iraq. The EMTP Lead will manage and oversee the EMS program. The Lead Paramedic will be responsible for a wide range of duties including direct paramedic care program management staff oversight and liaison activities with various stakeholders. This role requires a strong leader who is organized detailoriented and capable of ensuring the highest standards of emergency medical care and compliance with protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the OnSite Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program.
- Schedule and maintain records for requirements and certification training.
- Oversee the work of other paramedics providing guidance and support as needed.
- Maintain medical records and reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- Determine the need for paramedic coverage and schedule accordingly adhering to customer policy requirements.
- Assist in the development implementation and maintenance of the site Emergency Response Plan in collaboration with Emergency Management Safety and Training departments.
- Maintain and update Paramedic Protocols annually in consultation with the Medical Director.
- Act as a liaison to the EMS Medical Director (consultant) for medical control and guidance.
- Respond to emergency calls and assess patients medical conditions.
- Coordinate and supervise EMTs within scope of practice.
- Performs in support of field emergency situations; Intravenous (IV) line insertions venous blood draws intraosseous (IO) access intubation medication administration and 12lead electrocardiogram with interpretation and knowledge of a wide range of emergency medications.
- Assist medical providers with medical procedures and treatments within the licensed scope of practice.
- Assessment and documentation of the patients vital signs chief complaint medical history prescribed medications and care administered.
- Responsible for supply inventory by checking stock to determine sufficient inventory levels; anticipating needed items.
- Crosstrain to work within in the clinics emergency room and inpatient units
Qualifications :
Basic Requirements/Certifications:
- U.S. statelicensed Paramedic with National Registry EMTP or current unrestricted license.
- Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Advanced trauma course (PHTLS ITLS TCCC etc.)
- Ability to work in a highstress environment and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
- Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required:
- Certification as a Paramedic from a recognized program.
Physical Requirements:
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending stooping and lifting to 25 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- Valid US Passport with at least 6 months before expiration date. Must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance specifically a MRPT. Applicants with current clearances are preferred.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq for the duration of the project.
- Must be able to read write and speak English to effectively communicate.

Compensation Min: 91800 Max: 94350
Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
