Job Description
- Manage the shipping of completed battery packs to test facilities according to customer requirements.
- Coordinate and execute validation testing based on the Design Validation Plan and Report (DVP&R) adhering to test specifications and best practices.
- Ensure timely provision of test specifications procedures and hardware to meet test targets.
- Review and approve test setups at various facilities before test commencement.
- Track test progress report updates in program meetings and troubleshoot issues.
- Maintain comprehensive records for each validation test and approve final test reports.
- Lead the development and improvement of Test Procedures Design Validation Plans (DV) and Process Validation Plans (PV) for EV Battery development.
- Provide technical support as a Resident Engineer at Testing Suppliers.
- Investigate validation issues conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans.
- Utilize tools like CANalyzer to integrate battery control modules.
- Apply proactive and reactive engineering problemsolving skills.
- Lead root cause analysis to identify failure modes and recommend corrective actions.
- Conduct tests to recreate failure modes identified during validation testing or warranty claims.
Qualifications :
- Understanding of automotive battery designs.
- Knowledge of electronic bill of material systems and CAD systems.
- Familiarity with fasteners and torque.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Understanding of battery electronics.
- Knowledge of tools for collecting and plotting battery data.
Additional Information :
The position is based in Auburn Hills MI. The candidate must be eligible to go work in the US.
