About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Tax Accountant and Bookkeeper to join its dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse client base contribute to the firms business objectives and deliver outstanding client service.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies trusts partnerships and individuals.
- Preparation and review of Business Activity Statements (BAS) Installment Activity Statements (IAS) and other ATO statements.
- Conducting tax research and assisting with client advice including tax planning tax minimization strategies Division 7A Capital Gains Tax (CGT) etc.
- Direct client interaction ensuring high levels of service are met.
- Collaboration with the accounting and bookkeeping team to achieve client outcomes.
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as compiling tax letters managing ASIC/corporate secretarial functions and preparing invoices.
- Maintaining internal records including the BAS register and individual tax return lodgment status.
- Supporting social media and marketing efforts by formatting and posting content maintaining the website and assisting with presentations.
- Providing personal EA support to the Director including managing calendars conducting research and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Contributing to upcoming projects such as software conversion template development and cloud migration.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with social media content creation tools (e.g. Canva).
- Bookkeeping experience.
- Experience with Xero or MYOB accounting software.
- Experience with Australian tax law and practices.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- A high level of competency and a sharp mind with a preference for intelligence and a quick learning ability over extensive experience.
- A commitment to selfdevelopment and a willingness to upskill in various areas through paid and free courses.
- A positive and helpful disposition with a strong ability to problemsolve independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to take notes and write correspondence effectively.
