(Security Manager
Western Digital(HDD)
The Security Manager is an integral member of both the Fujisawa site community and the Global Security team. Reporting to the Regional Security Director the role will collaborate extensively across the global security team and with other partners on and off site in the strategy design development implementation and delivery of the physical security program.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Under both directed and selfinitiated actions manage and oversee the development implementation and maintenance of security programs procedures systems and technology to ensure the overall security and safety of Western Digital personnel visitors facilities data and assets
- Effectively collaborate communicate and engage with multiple global security partners and stakeholders developing strong working relationships to ensure superior operational outcomes and security service delivery
- Manage the vendor security relationship and support the onsite vendor security team in the delivery of site security responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of physical security and CapEx projects involving multiple internal and external stakeholders and ensure alignment to specified strategic objectives timelines and budget constraints
- Support multiple internal and external audits and compliance processes
- Proactively identify security good practice gaps vulnerabilities and look to drive improvement across all areas of global and local security delivery related capital projects our supported events and requests from other business units

Experience Qualifications & Skills
- 5 years related work experience within security safety or risk management with at least 3 years in a managerial or senior supervisory in a security facing role
- Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development within the security sector
Preferred:
- Preferred experience is from delivering security programs within a corporate environment. Alternatively experience within a security organization law enforcement military intelligence public service or risk management environment would be considered
- Experience of overseeing access control and CCTV systems and related processes in a distributed campus environment
- Security vendor management including contract negotiation KPIs and quarterly review
- Investigative experience for example leading and conducting criminal investigations investigative interviewing evidence gathering case building
- Experience of developing and delivering training and awareness to large groups
- Bachelors degree or higher in security risk management safety or a related field
Skills
- Motivated team player with a sense of urgency ownership and initiative in independently determining and completing critical actions
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills in both Japanese and English
- Ability to communicate collaborate and develop effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and across all levels of a professional corporate environment
- A developed current professional network of peer thought leaders from within government security safety and risk management industry
- Current Security certification affiliation membership and/or recent relevant CPD learning through an accredited body e.g. ASIS CSMP MSyl College / University or equivalent
- IT skills especially MS 0365 including SharePoint Word Excel and PowerPoint with a requirement to learn and use internal reporting systems
- Ability to process work quickly accurately and with changing priorities
- Strong analytical organizational and problemsolving skills
