Job Description
- Create a supportive and structured classroom environment.
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each students needs.
- Maintain accurate records of students progress and IEP goals.
- Conduct assessments to determine students educational needs and progress.
- Modify curriculum and instruction methods to accommodate students varying needs.
- Provide emotional and social support to students promoting a positive learning experience.
- Work closely with general education teachers specialists and families to support students learning.
Requirements
- Illinois PEL with special education (LSB1) endorsement.
- Experience as a Special Education Teacher or relevant role.
- Previous experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities.
- A bachelors degree from an accredited university is required. A Masters degree is a plus.
