Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with vendors to develop next generations solvents as carrier fluids for lubricants. Address potential issues (such as incoming quality control recyclability evaporation loss control) during solvent rampup in manufacturing sites.
  • Develop advanced lubricant dipping processes to achieve optimal lubricant performance on disks for next generation of ePMR and HAMR products.
  • Utilize Design of Experiment (DOE) principles & statistical analysis tools (JMP or Minitab) extensively to develop new processes/recipes and innovative concepts.
  • Work effectively with teams across Hardware Software Manufacturing and Failure analysis to bring improvement ideas and innovative concepts to reality.
  • Lead the process of conceptualization design documentation and testing/validation of new processes.
  • Foster close collaboration with vendors (solvents lubricants equipment) to identify and implement bestinclass consumables for advanced lubricant application processes.
  • Develop and select optimal metrology and/or insitu equipment for lubricant film characterization inprocess monitoring and post lubed disk surface quality checks.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to pilot line operational technicians on operational and troubleshooting procedures.

Qualifications :

REQUIRED:

  • MS 3 years experience or PhD in Chemical Engineering chemistry Polymer Science & Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering preferably in a development role.
  • Proficiency in JMP Minitab and a strong understanding of DOE principles.
  • Handson experience designing for highvolume production environments ideally within the semiconductor or disk drive industry.
  • Actionorientated with a proven track record of handson experience in lab or in field.
  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with external vendors subject matter experts and crossfunctional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and achieve results.
  • Experience working in a Class 100 or Class 1000 cleanroom is a plus.
