Supporting our A321 XLR and other Airbus fleets the Ground Operations Instructor provides technical and practical training for pilots within the Qantas Group. The training covers all operational procedures and technical aspects to ensure pilots are qualified to perform their duties in accordance with manufacturer and company standard operating procedures in line with CASA requirements.

 To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following experience qualifications and skills: 

• Technical expertise in aircraft systems performance loading and standard operating procedures
• Experience as a pilot to CPL standard or higher
• Experience in or exposure to multicrew flight operations
• Experience operating and/or instructing on flybywire Airbus aircraft
• A degree qualification (preferably aviationrelated) or equivalent industry qualifications
• Experience in adult education preferably in an aviation setting
• A high standard of interpersonal skills and an ability to manage and interact with the broader Flight Operations community
• Flexibility and sensitivity when dealing with different viewpoints styles and cultures and an ability to embrace and promote diversity in line with our Qantas values
• A high level of computer skills in software applications such as PowerPoint Word and Excel
• Demonstrated ability to supervise and deliver training in a range of environments e.g. classroom with both large and small numbers of trainees flight training devices and simulators
• Demonstrated ability to provide accurate assessment of trainees against competency standards and record these results in a Qantas Flight Training database
• A commitment to engage in improving training courseware and processes.
