Job Description
Database Administrator
Location: Pune / Bengaluru
Experience: 5 to 8 years
TSystems is looking for a highly motivated Database Administrator who will be working in a crossfunctional and international team within an innovative and agile environment.
Required skills:
- Strong experience in managing SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL Mongo DB and Cassandra in a clustered deployment.
- Strong experience in monitoring performance aspects of databases and doing finetuning of configuration for optimum performance.
- Strong experience in query optimization to provide guidance to developers.
- Understanding on database deployments in Kubernetes environments especially using Kubernetes operators
- Comfortable in Linux based operating systems.
- Good experience in scripting languages like shell script python
Good to have skills:
- Experience on graph database technologies like JanusGraph Gremlin Apache TinkerPop
Soft skills:
- Good communication skills with usage of remote technologies e.g. chat telepresence Webex
- Teamwork openminded empathy adaptability and accountability are highly welcome
- Bigpicture thinking
- Positive attitude to work in multicultural environment
- Willingness to learn
- Critical thinking to have ability to look at the results from different angle
