Job Description
Vertex is seeking a seasoned Construction Manager/Owners Representative Project Executive to lead and oversee highprofile projects from conception to completion. This key role has direct responsibility for business and client outcomes.
- Maintain primary responsibility for the performance of all contracts under assignment including business development performance and profit and loss.
- Participate in strategy discussions and represent the firm to inside and outside constituents exhibiting the highest ethical and professional behavior
- Lead client representative responsible for client satisfaction. Responsible for ensuring that all team members Vertex and outside consultants and contractors meet their commitments to clients. If either falls short take all appropriate corrective action.
- Participate as senior leaders in staffing decisions and implement the direction of the team.
- Take a leading role in representing the firm with all current and prospective clients. Promote the firm at all industry or related events
- Respond immediately to all concerns expressed by clients concerning Vertex service and assure staff urgency
- Take an active role in business development operations including prospecting proposal development and interviews
- Lead proposal and interview team providing strategy guidance and preparation to all pursuits
Qualifications :
Education
- Bachelors degree in quantity surveying engineering architecture construction management or construction project management is required though considerable years of work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years in construction management/owners representation with at least 5 years in a senior role.
- Owners Representative / Construction Manager experience and leadership of FL public vertical construction projects is preferred but not required
- Experience leading K12 schools public safety higher education and healthcare projects is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Be an expert in the delivery of large complex projects with significant experience in design and construction phases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong understanding of project and construction budgeting financial management and cost control
- Indepth knowledge of construction methods materials codes and regulations
- Understanding of Florida public construction laws and requirements
- Proficiency in project management and construction software
