Job Description

The Role

The Head of Strategic Accounts Americas is a critical sales leadership role with continued responsibility for the Americas team for Fastmarkets across midtier accounts and customers.

The right candidate will have a track record in developing coaching and training teams of

account managers to deliver against specific goals and KPIs relevant to their sales tier. This senior position will support our customer strategies and gomarket approach throughout Americas whilst also acting as a daytoday goto leader for all Account Managers in the region.

Principal Accountabilities

As the Head of Strategic Accounts you will be accountable for delivery in the following areas;

  • Full ownership and accountability for the development and growth of your Fastmarkets Strategic Accounts
  • Understanding and continued support of longterm price adoption across the respective commodity portfolio
  • Work with sales enablement to deliver a challengerbased sales process that underpins the growth strategy
  • Identification and mitigation to key risks to ensure protection of your Strategic account book
  • Weekly monthly and annual forecasting with 95% levels of accuracy
  • Hiring development and retention of a large global and diverse sales team
  • Responsible for sales training of the team expected to develop high potential sales staff in other areas of the business to ensure a pipeline of future Strategic Account Managers
  • Working directly with Customer Success to drive continued adoption of Fastmarkets pricing and embedding of Fastmarkets data in customer workflow
  • Work directly with Sales Operations to ensure the team is run by an accurate data driven approach to sales performance
  • Full and seamless integration of new acquisitions into the Fastmarkets Strategic Accounts Team
  • Working directly with other sales managers to upskill their teams and help top sales talent progress into the Global Account Teams.

KNOWLEDGE EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated driven and have a passion to be part of a fastpaced successful team. Being a strong team player is also important as well as someone who is happy to work flexibly.

The individual will have strong experience in managing a 5m Book of Business. The role will expect a leader that puts development and coaching of their staff first knowing that results will effectively follow. Equally important is a management style that is empathetic and understanding while remaining focus and determined to see through improved client relationships and growth across the whole book. The successful candidate must be comfortable in working in a matrix organisation with dual reporting lines.
