The Computer Systems Analyst will oversee cybersecurity operations system maintenance and network support at the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC). This role is vital for the advancement of the National Science Foundations initiatives. The analyst will be entrusted with delivering comprehensive cyber services and solutions alongside robust technical and managerial support for the NIWC Atlantic Polar Programs (NPP). The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the operational integrity and security of our clients IT systems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install configure and maintain operating systems server hardware and software applications.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Manage and maintain network infrastructure including routers switches firewalls and wireless networks.
- Implement and enforce network security measures.
- Provide technical support to endusers resolving hardware and software issues.
- Respond to and resolve helpdesk tickets and userreported problems.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Test and verify backups regularly.
- Implement and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Perform regular security audits and updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate and apply software updates and patches to servers and workstations.
- Ensure that systems are uptodate with the latest security patches.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations processes and procedures.
- Develop and update IT infrastructure documentation.
- Monitor system resources and plan for capacity expansion as needed.

Qualifications :
- US Citizen
- Active DoD Security Clearance
- IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security CE CCNA Security Training CySA GICSP GSEC) equivalent or higher.
- AA degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field with a comprehensive understanding of computer science concepts or four (4) years of computerized system relevant experience.
- Experience in cybersecurity and IT systems management.
- A track record of maintaining and securing IT infrastructures.
- Experience in design development testing evaluation network protocols LAN administration fundamentals and UNIX/Windowsbased operating systems.
- Experience implementing security measures and monitoring systems for potential threats.
Preferred:
- IAT Level III Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CASP CCNP Security CISA CISSP GCED GCIH etc.).
- Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Ability to communicate technical information to nontechnical users.
- Able to multitask prioritize and manage time efficiently.
- Accurate and precise attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical quantitative and organizational skills.
