The Telecommunications Specialist will oversee and optimize the performance and functionality of the telecommunications systems in support of the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) at Fort Knox KY. As a key member of Link Solutions you will leverage cuttingedge technology and communication systems.

Job Responsibilities:
- Install deinstall maintain repair and test multipleconductor aerial underground and buried communications cable to include coaxial fiber optics and copper/conventional cable.
- Perform administrative O&M functions and routines required for the telephone switching equipment voice mail system and firewall.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Perform customer features and activate and deactivate voice mail accounts.
- Work with government customers to identify needs or opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure assigned tickets are addressed with government clients.
- Update/maintain all ISP and remote communications facilities final drawings.
- Validate installation communications and cable drawings and submit redline changes.
- Maintenance of telephone poles manholes handholds and outside terminals.
- Provide cable audits of manholes handholes pedestals communications closets MDF and IDF.

Qualifications :
- US Citizen.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance (will sponsor the right candidate).
- Five (5) years experience in telecommunications infrastructure facility design and installation.
- Knowledge and experience of BICSI rules regulations and standards.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry standards and practices.
- Knowledge of Avaya Switches.
- Experience with MS Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Active Secret Clearance.
- BA/BS degree in Engineering Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
- IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security CE CCNA Security GICSP GSEC SSCP etc.).
- Avaya Switch training and certification.
- Experience providing DoD organizations with technical support.
- Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment and overseeing government programs.
- Experience providing quality service and support for missioncritical systems.
- Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
- Strong selfstarter requiring minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Additional Information :
This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of the government contract and the completion of ongoing negotiations. We anticipate these processes will be completed within the next several weeks at which time interviews and offers will be extended upon successful contract award.
