Job Description

Our busy dermatology practice is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant with EMR experience!

We are looking for a friendly motivated team player who is willing and able to travel to both office locations (Waterbury and Southbury). 

Duties: 

  • Room patients triage obtain/document medical history and chief complaints in EMR
  • Document allergies and medications and obtain informed consent from patients
  • Scribe and assist provider during exams and procedures
  • Assist in skin cancer surgeries medical procedures and cosmetic procedures
  • Prescription management
  • Patient call backs with pathology results/schedule excisions
  • Prior Authorizations and Biologics
  • Clean and restock exam rooms/assist with inventory
  • Sterilize Instruments
  • Assist with any administrative duties such as answering the phone patient questions and scheduling

Qualifications: 

  • 1 year(s) of Medical Assistant experience (Required)
  •  EMR experience (Required)
  •  Dermatology experience (Preferred)
  •  Mohs experience a

Job Type:

  • Fulltime Monday Friday (7:30 4:30) 
  • Must be able to work in Waterbury and Southbury locations

Experience:

  • 1 Year Medical Assistant
  • Dermatology experience preferred

Education:

  • High School Diploma

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Medical Assistant Certification

Pay:

Pay starts at $20.00 per hour and increases based on experience
