Job Description

Purpose of the job

Ensure the optimum use of the PMS by the organization and ensure it meets all requirements to optimize vessel performance.

Accountability and Responsibilities

  • Manage all issues / maintenance related issues in the PMS
  • Manage the development implementation of the maintenance strategy for the vessels in the PMS
  • Monitor and followup with responsible staff on noncompliance with the maintenance strategy as defined in the PMS
  • Support and transfer knowledge to the (technical) shore staff and crew with regards to the maintenance of technical equipment and the use and content of the PMS
  • Process vessel performance evaluations and advise on and implement improvements
  • Advice initiate and manage projects on developments of vessel maintenance by monitoring rules and regulations as issued by relevant bodies like but not limited to flag states and classification societies
  • Support the Group Fleet Management on the rolling of the midterm fleet maintenance plan
  • Support the Group Fleet Management in developing implementing and maintaining a fleet standardization and an effective (critical) sparepart strategy
  • Execute vessel inspections as requested by the Group Fleet Management

Qualifications :

Requirements for the position

Educational background:             

  • Bachelor HBO or Higher professional education or degree in a Technical or nautical related field

Work experience:                          

  • Relevant experience in the maritime/offshore industry preferred experience as chiefengineer
  • 5 years of relevant work experience in the maritime sector

The successful candidate must be living in the Netherlands and being able to work in the Netherlands (being a local or in possession of a work permit). The language in our office is English.
