We are looking for a responsible Healthcare Administrator to coordinate our medical services.
For this role, you should understand healthcare regulations and be able to handle medical information discretely. Healthcare Administration duties include budgeting, ordering medical supplies and maintaining employee records. Our ideal candidate has previous experience as a Healthcare Administrator and is able to complete administrative tasks accurately, and in a timely manner.
Ultimately, you should be able to ensure our medical facility runs efficiently and profitably.
Responsibilities
Monitor budgets and prepare reports
Maintain medical and staff records
Track medical and office supplies stock
Update patient health records, including admissions and insurance data
Create work schedules for staff members
Keep records of expenses and suggest ways to minimize costs
Answer queries from doctors, nurses and patients
Liaise with medical staff to identify efficiencies in the facility’s operations
Ensure compliance with current healthcare regulations
Healthcare Operations Management:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of healthcare facilities, such as hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, or medical practices.
Manage administrative functions, including scheduling, patient admissions, staff coordination, and facility maintenance.
Ensure the facility operates in compliance with healthcare regulations, including local, state, and federal laws.
Supervise and coordinate various departments such as medical, administrative, support, and finance teams to ensure smooth functioning.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets for the healthcare facility, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources.
Monitor revenue streams, billing, insurance reimbursements, and payment collections.
Oversee financial reports and analysis, identifying areas for cost-saving and efficiency improvements.
Implement financial policies and procedures to control spending while maintaining high-quality patient care.
Proven work experience as a Healthcare Administrator, Medical Office Manager or relevant role
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and medical law
Understanding of medical terminology
Experience with administrative and accounting procedures
Familiarity with databases and spreadsheets (especially MS Excel)
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Communication skills with a problem-solving attitude
BS degree in Healthcare Administration or Business Administration, with a qualification in healthcare
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide a diverse healthcare team.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare systems, medical practices, patient care protocols, and industry regulations.
Financial acumen, including experience with budget management, billing, and cost control in a healthcare setting.
Proficiency in healthcare IT systems, including EHR systems, and understanding of data security protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure, particularly in crisis or emergency situations.
Soft Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with healthcare providers, patients, and staff.
Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans for the healthcare facility.
