Division/Program Summary Description:
The Center for Population Health Data Science (CPHDS) launched in October of 2023 aims to catalyze critical data modernization work and enable the agency to make progress toward linking public health healthcare and social service for timely and effective public action. We are working towards making these data more accessible timely equitable meaningfully usable and protected and actively used to protect and promote the health and wellbeing of New Yorkers. We aim to strengthen agencywide data capabilities by empowering our workforce enhancing intra and interagency data sharing and using modern technology to yield trusted and integrated data and insights. A realtime and comprehensive view of city needs is needed to enhance public health actions and improve health outcomes for the most vulnerable New Yorkers.
CPHDS Bureau of Administration supports the center programs and staff for purchasing contracts grants personnel services fiscal management facility maintenance compliance administrative data reporting and office management. The Fiscal Management & Administrative Services Unit within the Bureau of Administrative provides budgetary oversight and administrative support to bureaus and programs and manages all administrative data for the division. Fiscal management involves the planning directing and controlling of financial resources.
Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator will support the Administrative Services Manager in managing a portfolio of projects and initiatives within the CPHDS. This position will be based at the Health Departments office in Long Island City NY with the possibility of hybrid work.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve as primary coordinator on a portfolio of Center for Population Health Data Science Admin. projects around enhancing administrative processes and customer service amongst division staff.
Coordinate an internal webbased service request tracking application that will allow staff to submit direct requests for goods and services.
Enhance and encourage equitable communication of adminrelated policies and procedures to all staff on a consistent basis.
Participate in the Division Action Team by serving as goal setting liaison for CPHDS Administration.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited CUNY college in a major related to the work in which the fellow will be trained and perform in the particular position.
