Job Description

About the Office:
The Mayors Office of Criminal Justice (MOCJ) advises the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Public Safety on criminal justice policy and is the mayors representative to the courts district attorneys defenders and state criminal justice agencies among others. The office designs deploys and evaluates citywide strategies to drive down crime reduce unnecessary arrests and incarceration and improve the systems fairness. MOCJ works with law enforcement and city agencies nonprofits foundations and others to implement datadriven strategies that address current crime conditions prevent offending and build strong neighborhoods that ensure enduring safety.

About the Role:
The Senior Grants Manager under the supervision of the Budget Director manages the administration of MOCJs State and Federal grants portfolio. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Helping to develop and implement grant strategies and plans to secure funding for the agencys programs and initiatives.
Coordinating and collaborating with internal teams to gather necessary information and documentation required for grant applications.
Overseeing the grant application process including proposal writing with stakeholders input budget development and submission in compliance with grant guidelines and deadlines.
Overseeing the preaward and postaward grant management process including monitoring of grant deliverables and deadlines grant compliance reporting and financial tracking.
Monitoring and ensuring MOCJs adherence to grant budget guidelines and reporting requirements.
Developing systems and processes to facilitate consistent grant management and tracking across MOCJs grants portfolio.
Providing regular reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborating with Budget Fiscal and Procurement teams to monitor grantrelated expenditures for prompt revenue recognition document processing in the Citys financial management system.
Liaising with agencies stakeholders including the Comptroller Office of Management and Budget and external entities as necessary to facilitate funding acceptance. Helping to drive continuous improvement in grant management processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications :

1. Do you have a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university

2. Do you have an associate degree from an accredited college or university along with two (2) years of experience with administrative analytic coordinative supervisory or liaison responsibilities

3. Do you have a fouryear high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a states Department of Education or a recognized accrediting organization along with four (4) years of experience as described in question 2 above

4. Do you have a satisfactory combination of education and/or experience equivalent to that described in questions 1 2 and/or 3 above
