Job Description
We are seeking a passionate Research Fellow (Grade 1) Exercise Physiologist who will coordinate and contribute to a research trial with mental health services and organisations.
Within this role you will work with Doctor Justin Chapman within the Centre for Mental Health in Professor Amanda Wheelers research group.
The Research Fellow will work on a project that is a clinical trial of exercise for people with severe mental illness. You will be accountable for daytoday operations including resourcing scheduling prioritisation task coordination within a team context as well as reporting and delivering objectives and deliverables within agreed time frames and budgets.

This is a fixed term (2 year appointment) parttime position (0.8FTE) and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multicampus University you may be required to work across other campus locations.
Salary Range
The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Level RF1 range $86526 $90775 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $101235 $106206 per annum.

To be successful in this role you will be an Accredited Exercise Physiologist registered with Exercise and Sports Science Australia. In addition to this you will have:
- Demonstrated skills in delivering exercise programs for people with severe mental illness and cooccurring medical conditions within a clinical trial.
- Experience working independently and in a team with excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills. Experience in graduate student supervision is also desirable.
- A high level of scientific literacy as well as verbal and written communication.
