Job Description
VENUE COVERAGE
Provide on field medical coverage during RBII and academy training sessions and matches as assigned.
INJURY ASSESSMENT
Assist with the assessment of new injuries on the field of play and in the treatment room.
Initiate communication chain of initial findings to athletic trainers and physical therapists and when appropriate communicate findings to coaching staff fitness staff and team physician.
TREATMENT REHABILITATION
Formulate initial treatment plan for the acute stages of the injury.
Assist in the creation and execution of the rehabilitation plans during the mid to late stages of rehab for long term injuries.
Assist in the creation and execution of individualized injury risk reduction measures for squad players as assigned.
RETURN TO PLAY
Assist medical team with execution of end stage rehab testing and assist fitness staff with execution of return to play programming when appropriate.
Qualifications :
Bachelors Degree or higher in Athletic Training
NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer
Strong communications skills
Experience with evaluation and treatment of lower extremity injury
Knowledge and interest in injury rehabilitation
Flexible schedule for both weekday and weekend coverage
