Job Description

We invite candidates to submit profiles for future clinical sessions. 

Chamberlain College of Nursing seeks PartTime Clinical Instructors interested in teaching students in our Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.

Clinical teaching is typically scheduled for at least one weekday weeknight or weekend (multiple schedule options may be available) for an 8week session at a clinical partner site. Chamberlain students experience practice settings that include large and small hospitals longterm care facilities community and publichealth agencies faithbased service organizations independent practices ambulatory care centers public health agencies military services (Army Navy and Air Force) VA Medical Centers schools home health environmentsanywhere healthcare is delivered.

Fundamental Nursing Skills:Content focuses on health promotion and the rehabilitative aspects of patient care. Students provide direct patient care in the acquisition of skills and concepts of professional nursing. The nursing process is utilized as the student implements basic aspects of nursing practice. 

Adult Health (MedicalSurgical) Nursing: The focus of this course is on the needs of adult patients and their families in relation to health promotion and management of conditions that require acute and chronic care. The nursing process is used in the discussion of health alterations affecting selected life processes. Students continue their professional skill development as members of the health team.

Qualifications :

You are encouraged to explore this opportunity if you have:

  • A masters or doctoral degree in nursing from a regionally accredited college or university
  • An unencumbered professional TX nursing license
  • At least two years professional experience within last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse
  • Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required
  • Have genuine passion for nursing education and lifelong learning
  • Have exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Are eager to serve students and colleagues with passion respect and care

Additional Information :

Chamberlain Visiting Professor Position Campus:
In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country the expected compensation rate for this position is between $1120 per assignment to $7245 per assignment depending on the candidates education and experience.

Actual pay may be adjusted based on jobrelated factors permitted by law such as type of course taught; experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
