Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care to patients in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers. This role involves delivering exceptional care in women s health including gynecological and obstetric services ensuring patient satisfaction and promoting overall wellness.
Key Responsibilities:Clinical Care:
- Conduct detailed medical histories physical examinations and assessments for gynecological and obstetric patients.
- Diagnose and manage a range of women s health conditions including menstrual disorders pelvic pain infertility and menopauserelated issues.
- Provide prenatal intrapartum and postnatal care monitoring fetal and maternal health during pregnancy.
- Administer and interpret diagnostic tests such as ultrasounds blood tests and pap smears.
Procedures and Interventions:
- Perform minor procedures including IUD insertions endometrial biopsies and colposcopies.
- Assist in major surgical procedures such as Csections hysterectomies and laparoscopic surgeries.
- Provide firstassist support in the operating room and perform postoperative evaluations and care.
Patient Education and Counseling:
- Educate patients on reproductive health contraception family planning and preventive care.
- Offer counseling on pregnancy prenatal nutrition and lifestyle adjustments to optimize maternal health.
- Address sensitive issues such as infertility pregnancy loss and menopause with empathy and professionalism.
Emergency and Acute Care:
- Respond to and manage obstetric and gynecological emergencies such as preterm labor ectopic pregnancies or severe postpartum complications.
- Collaborate with emergency care teams to stabilize patients and determine appropriate treatment plans.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with supervising physicians nurses midwives and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and care strategies.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters in electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical guidelines.
Qualifications:Educational Requirements:
- Master s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Licensure and Certification:
- Current and valid state license to practice as a Physician Assistant.
- Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Additional certification in OBGYN or women s health (preferred).
Experience:
- Minimum of 23 years of experience in an OBGYN or women s health setting (preferred).
- Demonstrated expertise in gynecological procedures and obstetric care.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in women s health.
- Proficiency in performing and assisting with OBGYNrelated procedures.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced environment.

Pay: $60.00 $70.00 per hour

Education
Education: Master s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with a focus on OBGYN or Current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) through the ANCC.
