Our mission is to see a book in every childs hand and we have spread the joy of reading to millions of children in India. In 2015 Pratham Books increased its footprint by going digital. As an industry leader we were one of the first publishers in the country to open up our content to the CC0 license. All this content is now available on Storyweaver a digital platform that hosts stories in languages from India and beyond so that every child can have an endless stream of stories in her mother tongue to read and enjoy. All the stories on the platform can be read translated versioned or downloaded for free.
We are looking for Communications Executive Marketing & Communications (Storyweaver)
The candidate will be responsible for conceptualising planning and implementing Marketing and Communications related work as part of a larger marketing team. This role involves presenting and growing our brand memorably humanising our brand voice by highlighting our content and documenting and presenting stories of impact.
Key Responsibilities
Manage company and brand social media channels (Storyweaver). This includes managing the social media content calendar (organic content); implementing campaigns; contributing to roll out of digital marketing campaigns/paid ads (working on creatives for ads) and interacting with our social media audience via messages comments etc.
Provide basic design support for events programmes and external presentations. Maintain Storyweavers blogs and archival pages.
Design newsletters on Mailchimp for donor and campaigner communications. Using Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on marketing metrics and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.
Required Skills:
- 13 years of experience in marketing and communications preferably in the social impact / nonprofit space
- Working knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook X Youtube Instagram) and familiarity with the latest technology trends and analytics in social media
- Strong communication and writing skills
- Knowledge of WordPress Mailchimp Canva should be able to design basic promotional creatives for dissemination on social media Whatsapp on blogs and in newsletters
- Knowledge of video creation scripting storyboarding overall tone and style of videos would be a plus.
- Ability to work within tight timelines and to multitask
- A keen eye for detail.
- A love for or an interest in childrens picture book publishing is a plus.
