Job Description
Role requirement We are looking for a talented Main Frame Production Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Job Control Language (JCL) and mainframe systems with the ability to develop and maintain batch processing jobs & schedule them using Control M.
Mandatory Key Skills
- JCL Development and Scripting Code and maintain JCL scripts for batch processing jobs on mainframe systems Monitor and troubleshoot JCL jobs analyzing job logs and outputs to resolve issues Optimizing JCL for performance & efficiency implementing best practices and standards. Troubleshoot and resolve JCLrelated issues ensuring timely execution of batch jobs.
- ControlM Job Scheduling (administration experience not needed) Creating/modifying of jobs using ControlM desktop mass modification using XML extract understanding controlM conditions/resources and calendars. Ability to schedule jobs monitor and correct the issues related to backups applications file transfers etc. Handled Priority 1 and critical issues related to ControlM.
- Shell Scripting with Linux environment Mandatory Strong knowledge on LINUX environment good knowledge on automation & programming through UNIX shell scripting. Python or any other scripting language is added advantage.
- Microfocus Enterprise Server Preferred
Other key skills
Expected to have worked in cloud environments working knowledge of AWS services would be a plus.
Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
Understanding of agile and ITIL processes
Certifications:
Good to have certificate on BMC ControlM
Microfocus Certification would a plus
Total Experience Expected: 0406 years
