Are you a seasoned leader in satellite program management with a proven track record in GEO and LEO spacecraft projects
We are seeking an exceptional Satellite Programs Director to provide strategic oversight and drive innovation within our organization. In this pivotal role youll be responsible for overseeing two major initiatives: the procurement of a GEO telecommunications satellite and the development of an 8unit remote sensing satellite constellation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Oversight: Provide highlevel program direction and strategic planning for satellite initiatives ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Program Management: Oversee the lifecycle of key programs from procurement and manufacturing to integration and testing guaranteeing timely and successful delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for government and commercial stakeholders managing their requirements while building strong relationships.
- CrossFunctional Leadership: Coordinate efforts between portfolio companies and subcontractors fostering collaboration to ensure project objectives are met.
- Risk and Opportunity Management: Continuously identify potential risks and opportunities implementing effective strategies to address challenges and enhance project success.
- Documentation and Review: Ensure comprehensive documentation of all technical and contractual aspects of the projects while overseeing regular updates and reviews.
- International Collaboration: Work closely with international suppliers and partners requiring periodic travel to ensure cohesive execution and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10 years of program management experience in GEO/LEO spacecraft programs or similarly complex satellite projects with the ability to manage multiple largescale initiatives simultaneously.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of spacecraft program delivery including manufacturing integration and testing. Familiarity with telecommunications and remote sensing technologies is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate crossfunctional teams across diverse geographical locations effectively.
- ProblemSolving Ability: Proven skills in resolving complex technical and programmatic challenges adopting a proactive approach to risk management.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication proficiency to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders from engineers to government officials.
- Educational Background: A Masters or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering Mechanical Engineering Systems Engineering or a related technical field. Knowledge of ECCS and ISO 9001 standards is advantageous.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
