Job Description

  •  End User Computer Environments

Maintain the user computer environments including computers printers phone systems smartphones etc.) including build deploy decommission and dispose the devices according to the defined procedures.  This includes ordering and arranging the repair services; PC

  • User Support

Troubleshoot diagnose escalate and support the end user computer issues and resolve their issues and inquiries; PC

  • Onsite services

Provide handsandfoot services onsite for our office premises (it may require some trips) and coordinate with vendors onsite.  This is not limited to end user computers but overall IT infrastructure equipment including network devices and appliances where necessary; IT()

  •  IT Projects

Participating IT projects especially in IT security business continuity and integration of newly acquired companies; ITITITBCP) 

  • General

Communication with all internal and external stakeholders in Japan Offshore and global team members;


Qualifications :

  • Associate Degree or advanced degree in Computer Science IT or related fields from a recognised tertiary education institution; 4IT
  • Mandatory: Japanese language N2 or similar; N2
  • Optional: chatting or email communication in English is required. Conversational English language skills preferred ;
  • Optional: ITIL or similar; ITILIT
  • Optional: vendor certificates such as Microsoft and Cisco; Microsoft Cisco
  • At least 25 years of working in IT Infrastructure domain and at least 2 years of user support (remote or facetoface) experience as Desktop Support Engineer or Onsite support engineer; 25 IT2
  • 1 years of work experience with IT Infrastructure project management (in an international environment) preferably in an industrial or process driven environment ideally in the laboratory industry; 1IT
  • Machine kitting Experience;
  • Troubleshooting experience of IT infrastructure issues (Hardware/Software/Network Equipment/WiFi Devices etc.); IT(LAN)
  • Experience with server rack mounting and cabling is preferred;
  • Hardware installation of network equipment is plus;
  • Knowledge and experience in Cloud environments is plus;
  • Experience in collating and documenting knowledge and the procedures is preferred;
  • Experience working with crossfunctional IT teams and working with nearshore/offshore service partners (internal or external) is plus; IT
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and flexibility to change; Ability to work in a complex and challenging international environment;
  • Selfmotivating and eager to learn the new skills;
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills; Very good communication skills (concise writing and orally convincing);
  • Building rapport with the customer and key business users;
  • Fluent spoken and written Japanese and conversational level of English Language;
  • Practical knowledge and experience of Windows based machines and network; Windows OSWindows
  • Practical knowledge and experience in Active Directory; Active Directory
  • Support Experience in user equipment such as printers smartphones and tablets;
  • Mounting or/and Installation experience of enterprise network equipment in server rack;
  • Experience of operating ITIL based Service Desks; ITIL
  • Strong security awareness;
  • May require lifting and carrying boxes of the equipment in daytoday operations;
  • May have to attend the weekend activities or on holidays;
  • May require a day trip (or longer) to remote locations (will be scheduled in advance however it may be a required with a short notice);
