Position Summary:
The Procurement and Logistics Coordinator will manage and optimize the supply chain processes within the oil and gas sector. This role involves coordinating with suppliers managing inventory overseeing logistics and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and logistics with specific experience in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement:
- Identify evaluate and establish relationships with suppliers and contractors specific to the oil and gas industry.
- Negotiate contracts and terms to secure the best prices and delivery schedules.
- Prepare and process purchase orders requisitions and other procurement documents.
- Monitor market trends and forecasts to anticipate procurement needs.
- Ensure all procured materials meet industryspecific quality and safety standards.
Logistics:
- Coordinate the transportation and delivery of equipment materials and products.
- Optimize logistics processes to ensure timely and costeffective delivery considering the complexities of the oil and gas supply chain.
- Manage and track inventory levels ensuring critical supplies are maintained without overstocking.
- Work closely with internal departments (e.g. drilling production finance) to ensure seamless operations.
- Handle import/export documentation and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field. A degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
- Proven experience in procurement logistics or supply chain management within the oil and gas industry.
- Familiarity with industryspecific regulations standards and best practices.
