In a nutshell
As a Lead Network Engineer at Eurofins you will design implement and manage IT networking services in the datacenter. You will be acting as a technical lead guiding a team in delivering robust and secure network solutions while collaborating with crossfunctional teams to ensure effective service delivery. Your key objectives will include maintaining high uptime and performance levels driving technical strategy mentoring team members and resolving complex technical issues.

Based in Barcelona you will join a globally distributed team that manages our internal IT Infrastructure across several business lines.
How can you help us
As the Lead Network Engineer at Eurofins you will:
- Take ownership of designing implementing and managing IT networking services in the datacenter for internal customers.
- Act as the technical lead guiding the team in delivering robust secure and scalable network solutions.
- Collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams including local IT staff and nontechnical personnel to ensure the smooth delivery of network services.
- Provide technical leadership offering expert guidance and direction on complex network infrastructure projects.
- Design operate and manage Datacentre network fabric based on Cisco ACI Cisco ASR and Check Point NGFW.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Architecture and Group IT Security to maintain audit and control standards for all services and platforms.
- Innovate and enhance service delivery while adhering to security and technology standards.
- Act as a point of escalation and guidance for resolving complex technical issues applying ITIL frameworks.
- Oversee incident management problem resolution and service delivery for all provided services ensuring high levels of uptime and performance.

- Drive technical strategy and decisionmaking within the team ensuring alignment with business objectives and group technology standards.
- Mentor and guide team members fostering technical excellence and professional development.
- Lead troubleshooting and problem resolution efforts offering strategic solutions to both routine and complex issues.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders ensuring clear communication of project goals progress and challenges.
- Ensure adherence to best practices in network architecture security and operational procedures.
Qualifications :

You have:
- A strong experience in complex IT environments including Datacentres.
- Deep expertise in networking technologies including Datacentre networks firewalls LAN and WAN.
- Expertise in modern Datacentre concepts and technologies.
- Extensive handson experience with Cisco ACI and NextGeneration Firewalls (Check Point or equivalent Fortinet Palo Alto Cisco ASA).
- Strong command of network routing principles Datacentre switching (CISCO HP DELL IBM) WAN networking and protocols (TCP/IP BGP OSPF HSRP/VRRP).
- Experience of Datacentre networking design and architect desired experience with SDWAN technologies (Velocloud preferred) and load balancing (A10 or F5).
- Experience in managing wireless solutions PKI DNS
- A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology Network Engineering or a related field.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Strong ability to work independently and proven experience in leading technical teams or projects.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills with the ability to provide strategic technical direction.
- A focus on results and achieving objectives in highstakes fastpaced environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders and crossfunctional teams.
- Proven incident management and service request handling experience
- Willingness to participate in oncall rotation (1 week every 5 weeks).
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
What else should I know
The following skills/certifications are an advantage:
- Certifications like CCNP or ITIL Foundation are advantageous and experience with Microsoft Azure are a plus.
- Familiarity with SIEM tools and SolarWinds monitoring is a plus.
- Familiarity with Firewall Analyzer tools (Tufin or alternatives Algosec Firemon) is a plus.
- Knowledge of an additional languageis a plus.
