On behalf of Rohde Nielsen MARPRO Group is looking for a Head of Fleet Operations to join their team at the office in Grenaa. Reporting directly to the Technical Director.
The job
As Head of Fleet Operations you will play a key role in ensuring the stable and efficient operation of the fleet. You will lead the Fleet Operations team while actively participating in the daily coordination and problemsolving required to keep operations running smoothly.
You will ensure that vessels operate 24/7 with high reliability and performance while meeting all maritime requirements. Acting as the link between operations compliance and the project team you will ensure seamless communication and execution.
This position requires a leader who takes an active part in the team with a practical handson approach to tasks and a focus on achieving results through close collaboration.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the Fleet Operations team fostering teamwork accountability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure vessels comply with class and flag state requirements as well as international maritime standards.
- Manage audits inspections and certifications.
- Provide handson support and technical expertise to resolve complex operational challenges.
- Facilitate close coordination between the fleet and project teams to ensure smooth operations.
Professional qualifications
- A maritime education such as Master Mariner or Dual Officeror other relevant maritime qualifications.
- Experience with class and flag states.
- Leadership experience in a maritime or technical operations role.
- Practical nautical experience including a few years at sea.
- Solid understanding of vessel classification compliance processes and maritime operations.
- DPA/CSO experience will be an advantage
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
