Job Description
Operating in the south eastern suburbs of Melbourne this modern contracttesting laboratory is seeking a full time Analytical Chemist with a Wet Chemistry background for an immediate start.
Accredited with the TGA and APVMA the hightech facilities encompass a broad range of analytical equipment primarily used in the Pharmaceutical Veterinary and Bioanalytical sectors.
The successful candidate will be selfmotivated with a positive attitude willingness to learn on the job in a fastpaced friendly environment with a dedicated team of likeminded professionals. Advancement opportunities exist for the right candidate.
Candidates will be expected to possess the ability to perform routine pharmacopeial testing (USP BP stability testing and inhouse methods) on both raw materials and finished products. The position relies heavily on current or developed expertise in analytical chemistry with sound analytical techniques and attention to detail. Experience in other techniques such as pH Karl Fisher UVVis Conductivity Polarimetry Melting Point are also advantages.
Qualifications :
At a minimum a degree in Chemistry Analytical Science or a related discipline is essential as well as at least 13 years experience working within a TGA Licensed Laboratory.
- Ability to multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within a team with minimal supervision to tight timelines.
- Sound Report writing skills will round out the desired qualities sought for this position.
Imperative to the successful operations of this highly respected testing facility is a strict understanding and adherence to the cGMP quality system consideration of timesensitive workloads and the accurate and thorough recording of all results activities and deviations encountered during the varying stages of analysis.
