POSITION TITLE: Senior Exchange Administrator
REPORTING TO: Manager
WORKING LOCATION: Bangalore India
OBJECTIVE:
The Messaging team is managing all corporate messaging tools: Exchange 2016 On Premises Exchange Online Exchange Online Protection Forcepoint Veritas Archiving Teams.
The focus of the Exchange Engineer includes:
1. Operating IT services provided from centrally hosted either in the cloud or strategic Data Centres.
2. Ensure that IT Services managed by the Central IT Messaging team are delivered effectively to business customers. This includes the execution of SOPs management of IT Incidents IT Changes and IT Problems in ITSM based system on the related processes procedures and work instructions.
3. Operate and install on Enterpriselevel Infrastructure for providing Microsoft services such as Exchange for global initiatives following those through to implementation via collaboration with project and support teams;
4. Identify opportunities to innovate extend and enhance service delivery everywhere possible;
5. ITIL approach to resolve technical problems. Troubleshoot occurring issues investigating root causes and supporting resolution of the issues found;
6. Serves as escalation point for application support and troubleshooting provides guidance and direction in resolution of escalated issues and/or complex production application or system problems;
7. Perform daily system monitoring verifying the integrity and availability of all involved infrastructure elements server resources systems and key processes reviewing system and application logs and verifying completion of scheduled jobs. Ensure that the performance scalability and security is maintained and optimized;
8. Deliver quality documentation allowing for smooth daytoday operations;
9. Improve existing processes through sustainable solutions to recurring problems and enhancements to existing solutions or documentation by automation;
10. Contact to vendor technical support for Priority 1 incidents;
11. Cooperate closely with the rest of IT Infrastructure & Operations Architecture and Security teams.
Specific Assignments for MS Exchange Engineer:
Administer the Exchange Environment and its associated services on a global georedundancy setup including Azure;
Create and maintain existing services including connectors transport rules client access mailbox Databases;
Administrate and manage evolution of a hybrid multi clusters Exchange 2016 and Exchange online infrastructure;
Automate repetitive tasks with PowerShell scripting;
Operate the Exchange environment with best practices for capacity redundancy and performance.
Support on the Teams Environment;
Assist in projects by mapping changes improve and analyze changes introduce plan to be decided upon.
OTHER ASSIGNMENTS:
Special authorization can be agreed with the Global IT Operations Director.
Always taking company quality policies into account and working towards Eurofins targets.
Following procedures and instructions within the Eurofins Management systems ensuring that we offer the right quality sustainable development and product security.
If necessary develop or change SOPs FAQs KGDs and processes in relation to own responsibility and positions.
Ensuring fast incident correction in cases that may involve quality errors or environmental problems.
Ensuring that products that reach our customers meet the expected quality and safety.
