About the PositionThe Associate Director Agribusiness role involves working closely with internal and client executives to convert ideas into action. While the role entails leading project delivery new client relationship development in the agribusiness sector will be a key responsibility as adding to our intellectual capital and methodological expertise.
This is a key position at our India office the incumbent would be responsible for sourcing bidding and winning highvalue assignments and contracts in the Agribusiness sector. The incumbent will work directly with our Business Development Team and all of our practice areas and subdivisions to secure work from new and existing customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Contribute to the organization business development pursuits in the agribusiness space.
- Contribute to research and strategic thinking along with developing and growing the opportunity pipeline.
- Monitor and track the progress of leads and bids and report back results and key lessons.
- Manage the development of proposals for tenders with overall responsibility for ensuring highquality technical and financial bids are submitted on time.
- Continual review of quality pricing and efficiency improvements in the proposals or tender process.
- Demonstrate powerful project management expertise while leading agribusiness project(s).
- Work closely with clients to deliver projects and ensure strategies are managed endtoend.
- Take leadership/project management responsibility for a range of engagement types.
- Excel in managing challenging interpersonal situations and conversations.
- Communicate with clients in a timely fashion about any critical issues; ensure projects are delivered on time and at margin targets.
- Ensure effective capture of project intellectual property and lessons learned.
- Own the teams professional development by identifying opportunities for growth fostering teamwork and collaboration serving as a career manager providing guidance to team members within the business.
- Ensure the quality of project delivery reinforces our client value proposition.
- Address observed risk factors with leadership.
- Provide critical subject matter expertise in an area directly supportive of Positive Impact.
- Drive private sector involvement in Positive Impact in the agriculture sector.
- Lead the creation of our agribusiness related intellectual property methodology and offerings.
Relationship building.
- Create meaningful relationships with partners subcontractors and freelance consultants.
- Maintain excellent relationships with key clients and support and develop strategies for new client engagement.
- Liaising with the global Consulting team as well as the global International Development teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and their teams.
- Interface with Thought Leadership and Knowledge Management teams.
- Build awareness and develop colleagues outside the Business Development team to contribute to identifying new opportunities.
- Look after ongoing process improvements to strengthen competitive performance and efficiency.
