About the position:
Join us as a VP of Operations to bring clean solar energy to Mexico Youll work closely with our Operations Team to play a critical role in achieving Brights goals by aligning with the companys priorities. Youll take charge of everything related to the design approval installation procurement and maintenance of distributed solar photovoltaic systems. Your focus will be on scaling operations to deliver over 300 MW of solar energy in the next few years ensuring projects are completed on time under budget and performing at 100% of expected production. Additionally youll build and enhance our partner ecosystem of installers and service providers while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction (NPS > 50). With full accountability for the budget and your teams success this role is your chance to lead impactful operations in one of the most exciting renewable energy markets.
Tasks
Your experience:
- Technical skills: You have 10 years of experience in field operations: Youve led distributed teams and managed partnerships across Mexico demonstrating the ability to drive execution in complex environments.
- Industry Expertise: Experience in construction or real estate is highly desirable particularly with solar projects. Youre familiar with project management and construction licensing processes in Mexico.
- Mexican Market Knowledge: You have a deep connection to the Mexican market either as a Mexican professional or a LATAM/US leader immersed in Mexican culture. You excel at building strong vendor relationships and managing local teams effectively.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: You bring prior entrepreneurial or founder experience showcasing your ability to innovate and lead transformative initiatives. You thrive in fastpaced environments and are excited about building and scaling operations.
- HandsOn Execution: You are a spy handson leader who doesnt shy away from rolling up your sleeves. You have a proven track record of implementing tools software and processes that deliver measurable results.
- KPI Mastery: You have a deep understanding of key performance indicatorshow to select justify and apply them to ensure operational success. Youve implemented and mentored teams on leading and lagging indicators using welldesigned dashboards.
- Decision Making: Youre actionoriented with a bias toward execution. You back your decisions with thoughtful wellstructured data and excel at setting up processes and metrics to ensure no customer falls through the cracks.
- BudgetConscious Leadership: You know how to execute on a constrained budget. You can turn ambitious visions into reality while staying within financial limits demonstrating precision and efficiency in all aspects of execution.
- Prioritization and Accountability: You excel in prioritizing ruthlessly in a dynamic fastpaced environment with competing interests. You set clear deadlines hold yourself and your team accountable and continuously drive progress toward goals.

- Language Skills: You are bilingual fluent in both English and Spanish. You are an exceptional communicator capable of mentoring teams upholding high standards for concise and actionable communication and acting as a spokesperson across various stakeholders including the Csuite.
- Location: You are located within a 3hour time zone of CDMX and thrive in a remote distributed work environment.
