YOUR TASKS

In the business division Special Onginal Equipment, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated R&D Head to lead the development team in our India center. The successful candidate will oversee the development of our product lines, ensuring technological innovation, product quality, and alignment with market needs. This role requires strong leadership in engineering management, a deep understanding of electronics and lighting systems, and experience in leading R&D teams for commercial and off- highway vehicles. The candidate is responsible for the product development in India for the Product Center, combining the product lines work lamps, vehicle body lighting, lighting electronics and electronics

As a manager, you lead the head of Software development (with team) for the product center as well as the development team (all other domains).

You work closely with the other development teams and the product management teams assigned to your product center at the international HELLA locations.

You have the quality, timing and cost responsibility for the assigned projects and products over your location.

You ensure the establishment and maintenance of customer relationships and present new products and ideas to customers.

You plan with the product line teams your projects as part of the annual strategy process

You recognize and follow trends in the market environment and act accordingly

You develop the assigned teams according to the product roadmap and enhance the use of competitive technology to realize market-compliant costs.

You report to the head of the product center in your area of responsibility.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

You have a degree in electrical engineering or related areas.

Several years of relevant professional experience in a comparable position role in the automotive industry.

Experience in R&D, project management and product management.

Experience in Operations incl, automotive manufacturing processes is a Plus.

Distinctive experience in international project business and good knowledge of development processes in the automotive industry.

You are highly committed and have a proactive attitude. Furthermore, you are a motivated te player skilled in communication and organization with a methodical and analytic mindset and show an independent way of working.

Fluent or business proficient in English.
