Job Description

Seeking a driven and experienced category expert to be responsible for Purchasing Logistics Services (Overland Expedites Parcels) for Bosch in Mexico.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): Job Description

Key elements should include the following:

Business Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing key suppliers for specific material field (Mentorships)
  • Negotiation of contracts for the nominated suppliers (incl. global projects)
  • Ensure policy deployment targets are fulfilled for the assigned (sub) material fields.
  • Actively engage with plant colleagues and IBT Global Category Sr Category Expert for defining strategies
  • Actively support internal customers on their requests working together to develop neutral RFQ that leverages competition.
  • Prepare Regional Submaterial field strategy for nominated sub material fields.

Delivery Responsibilities

  • Check purchasing requisitions and project/sourcing request issue purchase orders/contracts on time
  • Plan and conduct RFQs to ensure timely tender and/or renewal of the contracts.
  • Support for issues related to contracting and contract compliance.
  • Plan and develop actions to meet or exceed key KPI deliverables as outlined in policy deployment targets.
  • Prepare monthly status reports outlining RFP status Savings and other key KPI s like Automation. Supply base reduction Payment terms etc.
  • Participate on White Board Meetings and provide status of the ongoing projects.
  • Drive Process improvements and work closely based on Strategic Tender plan

Key Result Areas

  • Indirect Purchasing Results savings automation payment terms etc.
  • Process compliance

Functional Skills/Competencies

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables vlookups charts graphs etc.) and SAP experience
  • Project Management knowledge
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate with other functions/suppliers and foster teamwork.
  • Strong selfmotivation to achieve policy deployment targets.
  • Positive attitude
  • Knowledge of the market in terms of varying portfolio of Professional services (Consulting Temp Labor etc)
  • Market knows how of costing of resources for varied skill set and experience levels in Professional services & various models of outsourcing.
  • Awareness and tracking of the market environment and dynamics for the respective material field.
  • Advanced negotiation techniques.
  • Familiar with international working environment
  • Excellent  project management skills

Qualifications :

REQUIRED SKILLS: Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering Manufacturing Supply Chain Business or related discipline
  • Minimum 56   years experience in Purchasing Supply Chain or Logistics roles. Experience with Logistics Purchasing preferred.
  • Selfmotivated to define and drive continuous improvement of processes.
  • Excellent communication skills initiative and personal accountability
  • Organized and excellent communication and project management skills. PC literate (MSOffice SAP).
  • Awareness and application of basic principles strategies & instruments of purchasing.
  • Negotiation skills with demonstrated cost savings results.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate and conduct business discussion fluently in Spanish & English preferable German as well.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with Logistics and/or Logistics Purchasing
  • Experience with Project Management
  • Experience with negotiations and/or contract negotiations
  • Good communication skills incl. internal and external presentation
