Clinical Nurse Bone Marrow Transplant
An exciting opportunity is available for a Clinical Nurse in Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) to join a dynamic team in providing compassionate evidencebased nursing care to patients. This role is ideal for a nursing professional eager to make a meaningful impact in a multidisciplinary care setting.
Role Overview
- Care Model: Function in a reciprocal Advanced Practice Providerbased Ambulatory Care Practice Model.
- Chemotherapy Administration: Administer chemotherapy supportive care perform patient assessments provide symptom management and offer patient/family education to Allogeneic transplant recipients.
- Autologous Transplant Care: Administer conditioning chemotherapy supportive care perform patient assessments and provide education to Autologous transplant recipients.
- Car T Cell Therapy: Provide chemotherapy and assist with managing patients receiving Car T Cell therapy.
- Telemedicine: Utilize telemedicine for supportive care and patient assessments for homebound transplant recipients.
- Multidisciplinary Care: Participate in multidisciplinary care to support transplant patients in the home setting and throughout their healthcare continuum.
- Patient Education: Assist in implementing patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care.
Key Qualifications
- License & Education: New York State RN license and BSN required.
- Experience: Bone Marrow Transplant experience preferred with at least 2 years of recent experience in Hematology/BMT Oncology.
- Certifications: National certification strongly preferred.
- BCLS: Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
