Job Description
Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Panama City Florida
Shift Type: Variable
Shift Duration: 10 hours
Shifts Per Week: 4
Scheduled Hours: 40 hours per week
Hourly Rate: $27.17 to $36.15 depending on experience and qualifications
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join our team. In this role you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures using ionizing radiation to detect and diagnose medical conditions. You will be responsible for operating CT equipment ensuring the highest level of patient care and maintaining accurate records in the PACS system. This position requires a thorough understanding of crosssectional anatomy and CT imaging techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans following established imaging protocols and adjust as necessary for each patient.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety guidelines for both patient and self.
- Operate and maintain CT equipment safely and competently.
- Process and organize images in the PACS system and verify referring physician orders.
- Provide professional and compassionate patient care ensuring comfort and safety throughout the procedure.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver accurate diagnostic information.
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree or equivalent in Radiological Technology required.
- Knowledge of crosssectional anatomy and CT imaging concepts including head body musculoskeletal (MSK) spine and chest imaging.
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience required; 3 years of CT experience preferred.
- FL State Registered Radiologic Technician License required.
- ARRT Registered Radiographer and Registered CT Technologist certifications required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
