Join our healthcare team as a Sterile Processing Technician playing a crucial role in supporting surgical procedures by ensuring the precise sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments. Key Responsibilities
- Function as a vital part of the OR team by cleaning sterilizing and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment.
- Guarantee that all surgical instruments and trays are properly sterilized and ready for use in procedures.
- Uphold strict sterile practices to safeguard patient safety and enhance procedure efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with surgical staff nurses and other sterile processing team members to provide topnotch support.
- Manage the decontamination assembly sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments.
- Address and report any issues with instrument functionality or equipment malfunctions.
- Comply with all hospital policies and standards pertaining to sterile processing and infection control.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required; additional technical training or education is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and sterile processing equipment is crucial.
- Must be flexible with scheduling including availability for nights weekends holidays and oncall shifts.
- We welcome candidates with a Provisional CRCST indicating successful exam completion and prefer those fully certified.
