Travel Ultrasonographer
Start: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days 7a4p call required
**Call requirements: A minimum of 2 weekends/month and 12 nights during the week
**./hr rate approved
**Associate s Degree or Certificate in Radiography
**American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Sonography R.T.(S)(ARRT) or registry eligible with successful completion of the registry within six months of employment required.
**ARDMS RVT ARRT RT(VS) or CCI RVS required within six months of employment if performing peripheral vascular procedures required.
**ARDMS (RDMS) postprimary sonography certification may include but not limited to Abdomen Breast Obstetrics & Gynecology Pediatric Sonography preferred.
**Licensed by the State of Indiana as Radiologic Technologist required if holding R.T.(R)(ARRT) and performing radiography. May work under Radiology Student Permit for the first 6 months post graduation

TRAVELERS MUST BE GREATER THAN 50 MILES FROM FACILITY LOCAL CANDIDATES NOT ACCEPTED!
The Ultrasound Technician is a graduate of an accredited AMA school and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) maintains a State License as a general radiographer and/or is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for providing timely diagnostic services to both inpatient and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: abdominal pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical) and transvaginal sonograms. Additionally is proficient at scanning small parts (thyroid breast & scrotom) along with ultrasoundguided biopsies drainage thoracentesis paracentesis and aspirations.
