DHHSITD requires the services of a Specialist to provide leadership and perform tasks associated with current operational maintenance and futurestate decommissioning of CA Gen applications.
The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) requires the assistance of a contract resource to serve as a CA Gen Applications Developer. This position will be responsible for maintaining and decommissioning application software solutions using CA Gen (formerly known as COOL:Gen). This position will collaborate with crossfunctional teams to analyze user requirements for decommissioning current CA Gen applications while maintaining the support of the CA Gen applications until full decommissioning is complete. This role requires a deep understanding of CA Gen development methodologies strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical design specifications.
Design develop and test application software solutions using CA Gen development tools.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure seamless integration and efficient workflow.
Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and issues promptly.
Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with established coding standards.
Participate in the software development lifecycle including requirement gathering system design development testing deployment and maintenance.
Provide support and mentoring as CA Gen applications are being decommissioned.
Adhere to project timelines deliverables and quality standards set by the organization.
Document application specifications user manuals and technical guides.
