Job Description
Summary:
Our client seeks a seasoned Senior Microsoft SQL Server Engineer to join their Infrastructure and Operations (I&O) team. This role focuses on engineering and supporting the Microsoft SQL Server platform creating documentation and developing standards and best practices. The ideal candidate brings over a decade of experience in SQL Server engineering a strong background in scripting and leadership capabilities in guiding medium to largescale initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Engineer and support Microsoft SQL Server platforms and databases.
- Collaborate with Architects Developers and Operations to deliver standards and best practices for SQL platforms.
- Develop and maintain Runbooks Standard Operating Processes and provide knowledge transfers to operations teams.
- Deliver secure performant and compliant technology solutions that meet nonfunctional requirements.
- Lead medium to large initiatives assign priorities and resolve technical issues without direct personnel management.
- Develop process definitions standards and best practices for engineering operations.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies through proofofconcept initiatives.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field (required).
- Experience:
- 10 years as a Microsoft SQL Server Engineer (required).
- 8 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using TSQL Python and PowerShell (required).
- Familiarity with tools like Ansible GitHub ControlM Jira and Confluence (preferred).
- SOX compliance experience (preferred).
- Proven ability to create technical roadmaps and recommend ITdriven projects.
- Strong documentation skills including creating Runbooks and conducting knowledge transfers.
- Leadership experience guiding technical initiatives and resolving issues
