Job Description
fashion designer is a creative professional who designs clothing accessories and shoes. They are responsible for the following:
Researching trends: Keeping up with the latest fashion trends fabrics colors and shapes
Developing designs: Creating new styles and conceptualizing outfits
Managing the design process: Overseeing the production process from conception to final styling
Collaborating with teams: Working with other designers assistants and technical designers
Presenting designs: Showing designs to clients investors and buyers
Participating in fashion shows: Flaunting the product on the ramp through models
Assisting with marketing: Helping the marketing team create marketing strategies for the product
Fashion designers should have technical proficiency and construction skills such as knowledge of pattern making draping sewing and fabric properties. They should also be adept at using both traditional techniques and modern technologies
meeting with clients virtually or during sales visits. demonstrating and presenting products. establishing new business. maintaining accurate records. attending trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings. reviewing sales performance. negotiating contracts and packages.
