Job Description

JOB TITLE: Payroll Specialist

Location: Dallas TX (HYBRID ROLE)

Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Duration: 3 Months (Possibility for extension)

  • GENERAL FUNCTION As part of the HR Operations Team the Payroll Specialist function processes payroll in a high volume Multi EIN and MultiState environment for North America operations.
  • The processing of payroll includes auditing issue resolution and reconciliations to ensure accurate and timely payrolls.
  • This position focuses on assisting with payroll administrative activities.
  • Maintains a strict confidentiality of information at all times.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports all wage garnishment processing

Assists with processing balancing and transmitting payrolls to and from ADP payroll to ensure completeness of the payroll process for weekly biweekly and monthly disbursement of multistate and multicountry (US & Canada) payroll for 40000 employees consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws

Processing that includes but not limited to new hires additional pays bonus and commissions direct deposit and paycards and terminations final pay

Ensure automated timekeeping hours file is processed and balanced

Frequently interacts with various departments

Creates tracks and works to resolve service requests with 3rd party payroll provider

Support direct training needs for incoming payroll staff

Identifies critical pay incoming tickets to determine need for On Demand paycards/checks and processes emergency pays.

Addresses incoming inquiries from tickets system internal employees stakeholders or regulatory agencies and escalates internally

Stays informed of all payroll and HR policies and procedures

Adheres to applicable state local and federal laws rules and regulations

Follow prescribed procedures and workflow

Run employee pay detail reports as needed for HR Legal Compliance requests

Provide excellent customer service to employees coworkers

General clerical duties for review of incoming mail related to payroll

Additional Job Details:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Associates degree in Human Resources or equivalent combination of education and experience required

2 years Payroll experience required

Previous experience with reporting data analysis or payroll reconciliations

Ability to create and modify reports using Global view reports

Multistate payroll processing experience in a fast paced/large volume environment

Proficiency using Microsoft Excel Word

Selfmotivated resourceful takes initiative analytical with strong attention to detail

Trustworthiness with confidential information

Positive attitude and a team player

Willingness to accept and drive change

Must be confident with engaging in a variety of different communicative modes and understanding others through strong active listening skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

2 years of payroll experience MicroSoft office proficient ADP GlobalView experience a plus
