Job Summary: The Business Manager of is responsible for overseeing the daytoday operations of the business side of the medical facility ensuring that financial goals are met operational efficiency is optimized and compliance with healthcare regulations is maintained. This role requires strong management skills a deep understanding of healthcare operations and a passion for improving patient care services while maintaining profitability.
Key responsibilities:
1. Oversee the overall nonclinical operations and business activities of the hospital ensuring efficiency profitability and alignment with strategic goals.
2. Collaborate with department heads to develop and implement business strategies policies and procedures that promote growth and sustainability.
3. Analyze financial statements budgets and performance metrics to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
4. Optimize resource allocation and streamline processes to enhance operational efficiency across departments.
5. Develop business growth strategies and identify new opportunities for service expansion.
6. Lead financial planning and analysis to maximize profitability.
7. Establish performance metrics and benchmarks for operational efficiency.
8. Maintain uptodate knowledge of healthcare laws insurance processes and accreditation standards.
9. Develop and implement strategies for improving patient satisfaction and enhancing the overall patient experience.
10. Manage complaints resolve issues and ensure that quality service is delivered.
11. Oversee billing reimbursement processes and insurance claims.
12. Manage relationships with key stakeholders including suppliers and partners patients and regulatory bodies.
13. Drive marketing and promotional activities to increase patient volume.
14. Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
15. Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to promote hospital services.
16. Analyze marketing performance metrics and report on campaign effectiveness to management.
17. Oversee compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
18. Act as a liaison between the hospital and the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) to facilitate communication and collaboration.
19. Coordinate patient referrals transfers and consultations between the two hospitals to ensure seamless care delivery.
20. Maintain relationships with UPTH medical staff departments and management to support joint initiatives and partnerships.
