Job Description
We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical Fleet Planner to join our team in Newark United States. As a Fleet Planner you will play a crucial role in optimizing our vehicle fleet operations ensuring efficiency and maintaining high standards of service. Hourly rate $24.00.
- Develop and implement strategic fleet plans to maximize vehicle utilization and minimize costs
- Monitor and analyze fleet performance metrics identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and oversee repair processes to ensure optimal fleet condition
- Manage vehicle inventory including acquisitions disposals and transfers between locations
- Collaborate with various departments to forecast vehicle demand and adjust fleet size accordingly
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company policies
- Prepare and present regular reports on fleet performance and budget utilization
- Identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance fleet efficiency and reduce environmental impact
- Manage relationships with vendors suppliers and service providers
- Respond promptly to any fleetrelated issues or emergencies
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelors degree in Business Administration Logistics or related field preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in administrative tasks preferably in the automotive vehicle registration or car rental industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with fleet management software
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
- Understanding of vehicle maintenance schedules and basic mechanical knowledge
- Familiarity with transportation regulations and industry best practices
- Ability to work 40 hours per week including day or evening shifts as needed
- Willingness to travel occasionally (510% of the time)
- Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to work under pressure
- Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate across departments
