You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailPurpose: We are seeking a highly skilled Chartered Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and analyzing financial budgets and ledgers ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance. This position requires a deep understanding of budget management and ledger reconciliation. The candidate should bring in continuous improvement in control environment review and monitoring of Opex and R&D expense and deep dive analysis for cost savings/efficiency improvement. Candidate should collaborate and enable/support cross functional teams. This position requires a deep understanding of budget management ledger reconciliation and CAPEX management.
Roles & Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for the following activities
1. Management Information System (MIS)
Develop and maintain MIS to support financial planning and decisionmaking
Perform monthly BPC run for MIS poduct profitability etc
Generate and analyze MIS reports to provide actionable insights for management
Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all MIS reports
2. Budget Management and LE
Facilitate in preparation of annual budgets for Sales Opex and Capex
Develop implement and monitor budgets for various departments and projects
Conduct budget variance analysis and provide insights on discrepancies
Ensure expenditures are within the approved budget limits and recommend corrective actions when necessary
Capture the Latest Estimates on a monthly basis on current visibility of business environment
Updation of Budget and LE on BPC tool
3. R&D expense monitoring
Tracking and monitoring of clinical trial expenses study wise against agreed milestones and deliverables
Detailed Analysis of over/under spent during a period
Ensuring payments to CROs as per agreed milestones and deliverables
Reconciliation of Clinical Study cost
4. Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure all financial practices comply with statutory regulations and internal policies.
Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls and audits.
Review and maintenance of SOPs
Ensure process adherence and SOX compliance
5. CAPEX
Prepare an annual budget outlining capital expenditure
Oversee the planning approval and tracking of capital expenditures
Analyze and evaluate CAPEX proposals to ensure alignment with strategic goals
Monitor CAPEX projects to ensure they are completed within budget and on schedule
Preparation of investment report for PLI scheme on Quarterly basis
6. Collaboration and Support:
Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights
Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and strategic plans
7. Others
Deep dive/Projects on process evaluation expense analysis etc
Handling Intercompany Related Transactions specific to Biologics
Periodic Plant/S Yard visit Identifying issues Action/Escalation to rectifycorrect it
Creation & Maintenance of WBS & Cost Centre and periodic review of the same
Preparation of monthly accruals for Royalty on sales and EXIM benefits
Automation & Simplification projects
Qualifications :
Academic Background and Key Experience Requirements:
A CA with around 35 years of experience in month closure activities & controlling Proven experience in budget management Good accounting acumen Familiarity with SAP environment BPC tool etc A good understanding of Accounting Standards Exposure in Manufacturing sector
