Position: Lead Engineering

The Opportunity:

Eggs are nature’s perfect nutrition and can solve for India’s nutrition problem. However out of 40 Crore eggs consumed daily in India more than 97% are sold in loose and unpackaged format. Indian egg industry is largely unorganized at the backend as well as the frontend. A typical egg in India takes 810 days to reach a retail counter by the time it is not fresh and has lost nutrition values (by more than 50% as per research). With nonfresh eggs there is a funny egg smell and runny texture of yolk and albumen which is very common with Indian eggs. Farmers make thin margins and are dependent on unorganized trader and wholesalers. Due to low incomes and lack of knowledge there is heavy usage of antibiotics and chemicals in poultry feed that causes longterm health issues.

Founded in 2017 Eggoz is a Series B funded growthstage egg brand and Agritech start up funded by NabVentures Avaana Capital Rebright Partners and Others. The founders Abhishek Negi Uttam Kumar Aditya Singh are alumni of IIT – Kharagpur.

Eggoz is building a brand of eggs in a $12 Billion egg consumption market which is growing at rapidly at 15% annually. With growing demand for hygienic and branded foods Eggoz is striving to build the largest branded egg company and organize the egg sector. Eggoz aims to be the Amul for Eggs’. It aims to deliver superior nutrition with sustainable farming aim at better income for farmers and strive for 24hour freshness chicken to plate’ thereby wholistically attempting to solve the current challenges in the industry.

The business model is assetlight and techfirst where farmers are onboarded to an integrated platform which includes poultry feed & nutrition integration using only herbal ingredients and bird management technology to improve farmer income.

Eggoz is leading and fastest growing brand of eggs. Its products are available in omnichannel retail in 5 major metro cities and nearby nonmetro towns. In the next phase Eggoz aspires to become a household brand. It is looking to scale the brand and platform to rest of the country and build the largest national brand of eggs. It. It aims to build excitement around eggs and build the entire category of eggs and eggbased products.

The Role: We're looking for a driven Skilled Lead – Engineering who cares deeply about their craft. You have strong problem solving analytic decisionmaking and excellent communication with interpersonal skills. You are selfdriven and motivated with the desire to work in a fastpaced resultsdriven environment with varied responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Help define Technical Roadmap and own the entire product delivery end to end. 2. Ensure and constantly improve reliability scalability security and performance of

core apis and infrastructure. 3. Be proactive in technical decision making and a sound influence in technical

discussions. 4. Work very closely with various business stakeholders to drive the execution of

multiple business plans and technologies. 5. Adopt and advocate best practices and guidelines in architecture code conventions

development practice. 6. Improve optimize and identify opportunities for efficient software development

processes. 7. Keep abreast of the changes in the industry and champion new technologies and

development processes within the team.

Requirements:

1. 5 years of professional experience building web services in Python preferably in Django

Framework and React JS with excellent debugging good exposure to MySQL and analytical

skills.

2. 5 years of strong experience in Python(Django) JavaScript with Experience with Kafka

MySQL MongoDB Bootstrap ReactJS AWS EC2 S3 EKS ECR.

3. Graduation/Post Graduation degree in Computer Science (IITs IIITs and NITs preferred).

4. Experience in developing web applications RESTful APIs using Python(Django

Restframework). Proven experience in building deploying and maintaining highly scalable

RESTful web services

5. Decent knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with shipping code quickly and reliably.

Understanding of DevOps processes and Tools (Jenkins Redis Celery).

6. Good communication and articulation skills.

7. Experience working with agile teams and making rapid decisions in a dynamic and disruptive

environment.

8. Hands on writing and reviewing code

9. Exceptional design and architectural skills.

10. Strong understanding of software engineering principles computer science fundamentals

data structures algorithms and operating systems

11. Excellent written and oral communication ability in both technical and non tech aspects

12. Good understanding of benchmarking and performance monitoring concurrency multi

threading logging database optimisations

13. Experience with browserbased debugging and performance testing software.

14. Excellent troubleshooting skills.

15. Good project and management skills.
