Our Pigging & Decoking division is looking to add to our existing Operator team. The work is physical in nature where much of your day will be spent operating pigging equipment. The work varies day to day and you would be deployed to various client sites across the United States.
Our Pigging and Decoking Operators provide support to refineries petrochemical facilities and associated industrial complexes by pigging furnaces heaters and pipelines.
This position is for an operator if you have experience with pigging and decoking that will be considered an asset.
Hours of work while dispatched on a project are typically 12 hours shifts unless directed differently from the site representative. We run a day shift and a night shift crew on most projects so you must be willing to work night shift when required. While working in our Pasadena shop we work Monday to Friday 8 AM4:30 PM completing maintenance duties on the pigging equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely mobilize equipment to and from client sites company stations and other facilities as directed
- Set up and operate specialty pigging equipment to clean furnaces and pipelines at client facilities
- Assist senior operators and supervisors with troubleshooting day to day duties and equipment repairs/maintenance.
- Ensure completion of accurate paperwork pertaining to execution of scope of work in order to provide the client with accurate records of operation
- Proactively ensure that all personal training requirements are met and maintained
- Maintain open and truthful dialogue with Supervisors Project Managers and Operations Manager to ensure understanding of scope of work and job readiness
- Haul hoses PPE and tools to where the work is being done
- Complete required paperwork for projects and jobs
- Challenge your eye for detail practice what we preach. Take your time get the job done right the first time and safely every time
- Other duties as assigned
Role Specifications
- 1 year of industrial experience preference given to those with pigging and decoking experience
- Class C drivers license with no restrictions preference given to those who possess CDL Class A and/or B.
- Mechanically inclined
- Welding and fabrication experience would be an asset
- Onsite training will be provided but any knowledge of cleaning heaters boilers and pipelines is considered an asset
- TWIC Card required
- Ability to provide a negative preemployment drug and alcohol test

- Strong mechanical aptitude
- You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
- Perform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)
- Work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
