Job Description
Master Thesis: Analysis of Implementation of Alternative LSR Raw Material
Project Overview: We are excited to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated Masters student to conduct an indepth analysis on implementing alternative Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) raw materials within our production processes. This project will explore sustainable material options aiming to improve costefficiency and enhance production quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Analysis: Leverage engineering lifecycle management knowledge to assess current LSR materials and properties (e.g. compression set hardness elongation) identifying critical properties that align with our product requirements.
- Market Research: Conduct a market analysis of SEA LSR suppliers focusing on price total cost of ownership and carbon footprint. Evaluate various LSR grades and identify suitable alternatives.
- Process Optimization: Investigate potential optimizations in followup processes such as oven or plasma treatments considering local nonpostcuring material types.
- Cost Efficiency: Analyze potential cost savings through optimized material choices reduced storage transportation and enhanced production cycles.
- Benefits Analysis: Assess how alternative LSR grades can impact process stability waste reduction and production efficiency improvements.
Qualifications :
- Currently enrolled in a Masters degree program in Mechanical Environmental Process & Energy Engineering or related engineering fields.
- Strong command of English (C1) and nativelevel proficiency in German.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in project management
Ideal Candidate:
- Background in industrial engineering and lifecycle management with practical experience in managing production changes and optimizing product performance.
- Knowledge or experience in raw materials related to LSR LSR injection molding and similar processes.
- Demonstrated ability to lead projects work collaboratively with international teams and apply analytical skills to improve process efficiencies.
- Comfortable working independently and skilled in coordinating complex projects with crossfunctional teams.
