General job duties. Types of procedures required. Management of 13 critically ill patients management of varying patient populations including critically ill neuro surgery trauma medical and surgical patients. Primary area of focus will be on our Neuro ICU which cares for ischemic and hemmorhagic strokes and all other neuro related critically ill patients. Ability to manage vasopressors sedatives analgesics inotropics antiarrhythmics and other titratable drips. Ability to assist with bedside procedures including RSI EVD placement Tracheostomy line placement other diagnostic tests. Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. EPIC EMR Omnicell Automated Dispensing Cabinet Aleris IV pumps MOOG Feeding pumps EVD Phillips Patient Monitoring Systems AvaSure patient Monitoring Required skills and minimum years of experience. 2 years of experience in large hospital (over 200 beds) level 1 trauma center. Ability to care for critical ill patients independently. Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. BLS must be AHA ACLS must be AHA NIHSS ND or compact state RN License Shift or schedule requirements. Will be required to float to all units in critical care cluster on both campuses including 5D (intermediate ICU) with ratios up to 1:4. May float to MS if needed to task or take patient assignment of up to 3. Day/Night Rotate8 and 12 hour shifts occasional 4 hour shifts. Every other Weekend Every other Holiday No call required. Employee will not work alone Floating to over units/departments. Floating to all critical care departments in Sanford Fargo including 5D Intermediate ICU with ratios up to 4:1 and Broadway ICU with ratios up to 3:1 May be required to float to med surg units as needed Bed size/number of rooms for this unit/dept. 16 beds Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. 1 nurse to 23 patients Dress Code: Navy Scrubs Tell us about the unit/department specific training and orientation program. The candidate will get a total of 32 hours of orientation. That includes 8 hours of hospital orientation 8 hours of orientation to this unit (5A) 4 hours of orientation to our Intermediate ICU and then 12 hours of orientation to our Broadway ICU. All of this will take place over the 1st week of the assignment. |
Comments:12 hour shifts every other weekend and holiday. Can do 36 or 48 hour guarantee! Cannot take travelers who live within 60 miles of facility. Can take 61 to 80 for the local rate. Local rate reduces client bill rate to xx8.00.
